Hi,

How’s it going?

Hey, yesterday I had all kinds of problems
with my bipolar blog. There is some kind of
bug in it. They are fixing it.

It might not be fixed today. If you
don’t see a place to post responses
that’s why.

I am actually in New York City at a convention
for stuff that’s going to help me expand and
reach more people that need help with bipolar
disorder.

It was kind of a nightmare getting here. I had
to drive to the train station and then
take the train into New York then try to
find a cab to get to where I was staying.

I have an important Bipolar lesson that comes
from someone that I met trying to get a cab.

Let me tell you the story.

I had actually just came out of the train
station.

I then wound up dropping my suitcase.
I was kind of annoyed.

Then I went to get something to eat
really quick. I did. Then I walked out
and was thinking, “I have to get a cab.”

It was about 6:00pm or so EST. I was standing
there putting my hand up.

Then I noticed I was in a bad spot for the
cab people to see.

A guy next to me started looking at me. He looked
like he wanted to ask something but didn’t.

Then he said, “Sir, how do you get a cab, I know
it’s an odd question but we are from different
country.”

He had an accent.

So I explained that we were actually in the wrong
spot. I explained that we should be walk across
the street so we would be seen easier and it’s
easier for the cab to pull up next to us.

Then I showed him how to waive his hand.

He tried it and asked if he was doing it right.

His family looked on and kind of laughed.

He said, “you probably think that I am simple.”

I said to him I did not. I told him, I thought he was smart
because he actually asked and had the courage
to. That’s a sign of being smart.

He got in a cab and I said good bye. Then I got
in. I got to thinking on my ride to where I was
staying about how many people don’t ask
questions with bipolar disorder out of embarrassment
or thinking they should know or it’s a “stupid question.”

There’s no stupid question. If you have one, lots of
other people do.

I remember there were many things I had to
ask about with bipolar disorder.

I remember this. Okay, my mom started going
to her new doctor. The one that I found through
my doctor finding system that I talk about in
my courses below:

SUPPORTING AN ADULT WITH BIPOLAR DISORDER?
Visit:
http://www.bipolarsupporter.com/report11

SUPPORTING A CHILD/TEEN WITH BIPOLAR DISORDER?
Visit:
http://www.bipolarparenting.com

HAVE BIPOLAR DISORDER?
Visit:
http://www.survivebipolar.net

The doctor gave her a whole bunch of
medications to take at certain times.

I remember my mom getting confused and
my dad was kind of annoyed about it.

Then I was thinking about it and I looked
at the instructions and I was TOTALLY confused.

It seems simple, right? Take the medication
and you will be fine. BUT what if you had
to take so many of this and so many at that
at this time and that time. It’s confusing.

If you are a bipolar supporter, think about
how confused you would be with a few different
medications having to be taken at certain times.

And to further complications, my mom was told to
take such and such if you feel such and such way.

My mom was confused. I was confused. My dad
was confused. It seemed so simple. The doctor
really couldn’t even tell us a system to keep
track.

Then I said, I need to ask someone who has
done it instead of figure it out on our own.

I went to Wal-Mart and asked about 10 to 15 people.
I said, “Hi, I was wondering if you could help me.
My mom has to take a lot of medications and it’s confusing
us how to keep track. Do you know of a good system?”

A bunch of people said “sorry, that sounds really
confusing but I don’t know.”

Three people told me a system. I took the best of
each person’s system and then told my mom.

She customized it for herself. We bought a special
pill box at Wal-Mart as well.

Then my mom finally had a system.

There are TWO important points here:

Bipolar supporters have to realize there is a
TON for the bipolar survivor to learn about how
to manage bipolar disorder. If your loved one
is confused or forgets to take something. It
might be because it’s confusing. Too many supporters
“freak out” on a loved one because they make a
mistake. This is wrong.

Second point: Ask people for help even on the
simple things. Don’t try to figure it out.
You’ll notice in my courses/systems I go over
even the simplest of things in great detail so
there is no guessing. No thinking.

Just like the guy who didn’t know how to
get a cab in New York City. It might sound
simple. It might sound dumb. But I am betting
that thousands of people on my list do not know
how to get a cab in New York. It was a good question
the person asked.

And he was smart to ask instead of trying to figure
it out or doing it wrong or not getting a cab
for a really long time.

With that said, I have to go to the event.

I am coming home tomorrow. I will catch you then.

Your Friend,

Dave

Hi,

How’s it going?

Well I am finishing up a new f.ree special report
that I have coming out. It’s called the 10 deadly
mistakes people make supporting someone with
bipolar disorder.

It’s going to be distributed for f.ree and
I will be doing media interviews about it.

I showed it to someone who said and I quote:
“Dave this is really scary…Don’t you think
this is extreme.”

This person basically was talking about the
tone of the report that bipolar disorder
can be fatal.

I said to him, “Did you know that up to
20% of people who aren’t on the right treatment
plan WILL kill themselves. Did you know that
1/3 (one out of three) that have bipolar
disorder admit to one suicide attempt.”

Think about those numbers. 20%. What’s that
mean? That means one out of 5. Think of
5 people you know and then think of 1 out
of the 5.

Think about 1/3. That’s 33%. Imagine that
1 out of every 3 people with bipolar
disorder admits to one suicide attempt.

Think about how high these numbers are.

They are REALLY high.

Here’s what I have. For the most part, the
system that is helping those with bipolar
disorder is NOT working.

It can’t be. If it was, you wouldn’t have numbers
so darn high.

Here’s another thing. Let’s say there are 12,000,000
people with bipolar disorder.

Imagine 1/3 of them or 4 million with attempt suicide.

Now out of those attempts, how many will be a success?
Many.

This is why every year, hundreds of thousands of people
die from bipolar disorder.

It can be fatal.

It’s not something to kid around with.

I am really shocked out unserious people take
it. It’s amazing.

I like to remind people just how serious it
is and try to bring the numbers home so
to speak. Sometimes when you hear percentages
it’s hard to even relate to them.

Let me tell you some other things. I have been
volunteering for several years. There are
people who USE TO go to our meetings.

Some are dead. Gone. They killed themselves.

One of my biggest success stories ever. Told me
he started a support group with like 18 or so
people. Today everyone but him committed
suicide.

There are people who work for me now who
attempted suicide. Michele Soloway’s sister
killed herself because of bipolar disorder.

When you get my courses and systems below
you hear major success stories TODAY that
once tried to kill themselves years ago.

SUPPORTING AN ADULT WITH BIPOLAR DISORDER?
Visit:
http://www.bipolarsupporter.com/report11

SUPPORTING A CHILD/TEEN WITH BIPOLAR DISORDER?
Visit:
http://www.bipolarparenting.com

HAVE BIPOLAR DISORDER?
Visit:
http://www.survivebipolar.net

There’s one person that I know that
has impacted the world dramatically.
But before he did, he got a gun and tried
to kill himself but failed.

The common denominator in all these horror
stories is the fact that people are not
on the right treatment plan.

Actually as I write this, it makes me really
mad.

Why? I think it’s sad that so many people
just don’t take it seriously.

Anyway, let me get back to my new special
report. I feel that it’s the bipolar supporters
who have a duty and obligation to help someone
with bipolar disorder when he/she is off
track.

Too many supporters wind up doing nothing and
doing nothing leads to tragedy.

You’re going to like this special report. I will
get sending it to over 100,000 people on my list.

I will ask everyone to forward it to at least 7
people.

If I can make the 1/3 go to 1/5 that’s a whole
lot of lives that can be saved. We can do it
together by getting this information out.

I must say, that I am lucky that something
bad didn’t happen to my mom. Over the years,
my did just stood by as bipolar episode
after bipolar episode took over our house.

Fortunately my mom has never attempted suicide
or tried any illegal drugs. BUT she did
other bad things that really hurt our family.

Today, just in case you are wondering, she
is doing great. My mom shows that even
after a major bipolar episode, you can turn
your life totally around. There is always hope.

If you ever down, read my story about
my mom and myself. And think that today she
is doing great. If she can do it you or
your loved one can.

Remember it was so bad that my brother wanted
to permanently institutionalize my mom in a
hospital (which you can’t really do anyway
but that’s how bad it was).

Well, I have to run. The last thing I want
to say is YOU HAVE TO TAKE ACTION.

IF you have bipolar with bipolar disorder, take
action and start looking for solutions. Don’t
wait around and become a statistic.

Your Friend,

Dave

Bipolar supporter? Has this ever happen? Beware

Hi,

How’s it going?

How’s it going for you? I hope you had a
good weekend.

Hey I have a couple of new jobs
that I have. I am going to be sending
out an email (customer service, animation,
graphic design and some other stuff)
so we can keep it in the family so to speak.

It’s been a crazy few days. I had
one woman calling me over and over and
over and over again demanding money
from me.

She claimed I owed her money. She is in
no database of mine and never bought
a thing from me. I finally had to
just put the phone down because I felt
it would be rude to hang up on her.

Then another person called and demanded
that I help him with bipolar disorder.

Then another person left me a ton of messages
claming that she was unable to ever get me
and my voicemail never works?

In all cases, I had no idea who the above
people were. No idea.

Then I had ANOTHER situation.

Someone that I know went off his meds
and went from being stable to totally
unstable in like 30 days.

Here’s the interesting thing. I kind
of thought this person was off is him
medications but he had assured me
and sold me that he was on his bipolar
medications.

He also sold and convinced
other people that I know.

There’s something about the first couple
of weeks or even a month of someone who
is off his/her bipolar medications. He/she becomes
incredibly persuasive and try to get
you to do all kinds of things you normally
wouldn’t do.

When I say you, I mean the bipolar supporter.
In this case that I am telling you about, this
person was doing some work and not doing it
well because he wasn’t on his medications.

Slowly but surely everything that he was
doing started to fail.

He do a whole lot of bad work and created
lots of problems with others as well.

The thing that just so darn amazing with
bipolar disorder is how you have to be on
guard of not being sucked into a person
who is off medications.

Here’s another example. My mom was actually
on her medication but on the wrong medication
and was not stable. But she was persuasive.

She convinced me to give her lots of money.
She convinced my dad to give her lots of money.
She convinced her mother to give her lots of money.

I can’t really explain exactly how she did
it but it was done.

She then started convincing people to
do things like not work at her job or gang
up on her boss and not listen to what the
boss said. When I was looking back and
trying to figure it all out, it was
amazing.

She wound up convincing people all sorts
of things. Keep in mind this was like in 2003
when her big bipolar episode was starting
and picking up steam.

As I look back, it was amazing how so many
people wound up being persuaded and sold on
doing all kinds of things they really didn’t
want to do. All by someone who wasn’t on
the right bipolar medications and not stable.

Now, after I started to learn about bipolar
disorder and started to figure out what was
going on, I started to stand up to my mom’s
bipolar disorder and stopped going along
and being persuaded.

Now if I look at this particular person that
told you about this past weekend, he was able
to convince a whole lot of people about his
stability and wound up causing a lot of problems.

If you are a bipolar supporter you have to
be careful not to fall into this trap.

I call it “fooled by bipolar.” Bipolar
is a slick thing so to speak. It works
to persuade and trick you into various
things that are bad for you the supporter
and you the person with the disorder.

Sometimes when I talk about bipolar being
an “it” or almost like a person people
think I am “out of my mind.” I am not.
But when you think of it as something
that is inhabiting your loved one,
it makes it much easier to deal with it
and separate it from your loved one.

The purpose of today’s daily email is
to remind people that those who go
off their bipolar medications wind up
doing really bad things generally and
are very persuasive trying to get you
to go along with them or do things
that are not in your best interest.

Also, you’re loved one can be on bipolar
medications and still become unstable and
you can be susceptible to being “fooled
by bipolar disorder.”

Don’t fall for it. IF you hear of
an idea, plan or something from
your loved one with bipolar disorder,
resist going on. Don’t go along to
get along. That’s what my dad tried
for so many years and it never ever worked.
And my mom tells me to this day, she wishes
he didn’t do that because in the end it
wound up hurting her, him, me, my brother
and lots of other people.

SUPPORTING A CHILD/TEEN WITH BIPOLAR DISORDER?
Visit:

HAVE BIPOLAR DISORDER?

I talk at length how to stand up to bipolar
disorder and how to handle someone
in an episode who thinks they are fine.

I am not sure why. But again, the person who
is off bipolar medications or the person on
medications but in an episode is very persuasive
and can get people who don’t have bipolar disorder
to do a whole lot of things that are totally
destructive.

I would appreciate people posting some
stories of how persuasive and destructive
a person who is in a bipolar episode or off
his/her medications can be.

Dave

Part two of yesterday’s bipolar disorder warning

==>>Help with ALL aspects of bipolar disorder<<==
Check out all my resources, programs and information

Hi,

How’s it going?

Excited? You should be. You get one more
hour because of daylight saving time.

On that note, I sent a daily bipolar
email about daylight saving time
yesterday. If you missed it, please see
my blog below.

I wanted to add another important point
about daylight saving time. For many people
this change in time will lead to the days getting
much shorter and darker.

People who have a tendency to get depressed
can during this period of winter/fall.

Things wind up getting darker and colder
and there is much less sunlight.

All these things go together and can
make this period of time difficult with
someone with bipolar disorder.

Like I have said in the past, this is
a difficult time for my mom.

Actually there was a post in the
the Bipolar Inner Circle Forum
about this:

“Hi,

I wanted to give an update about my daughter.
She has been to her dr. and also her therapist.
She’s also undergone some blood work for her
thyroid. She is doing great. There has been
no problems. She is now doing every day kid
stuff, and enjoying herself. She planned a
Halloween party, and she had a wonderful time.

After reading David’s e-mail, I am slightly
concerned about the time change. Has this ever
caused any problems for anyone else?
June”

Michele Soloway actually called me and wanted
to find out what my daily email was about because
she didn’t get a chance to read it. She then
wrote June a reply I thought would be good
for you to see:

“Hi June–

I read your post before I had a chance to
read Dave’s email, so I called him to ask him
what was going on, and he said that you just
need to watch, that it’s possible that daylight
savings time can affect your moods — that not
everything does affect BP– but some things do,
and you just need to watch out. Especially if
you are one of those people with BP who tend to
get depressed during the fall/winter months.

You should know your own triggers, and whether
seasons, or the change of seasons is one of them.
There is something called Seasonal Affective Disorder
(SAD) that kind of runs tandem to BP — where people
who have a tendency to be depressed get more
depressed in winter because everything is so “gray”.
You can look it up on the internet to learn more.

Hope that helps.

Michele”

Another important point is this. When it gets cold
and dark. People tend to do a lot less and get less
sunlight. This actually prevents people from burning
off extra energy in mania and can make bipolar worse.

Think of it this way. Let’s say that you have bipolar
disorder and lean towards mania all the time (this is
my mom for now or the last couple of years).

So my mom does a lot of stuff outside in the sun.
Doing stuff outside requires energy and the sun helps
her. So according to her, she burns off her extra energy
and then is able to say stable.

But when winter comes, she doesn’t have this chance
because it’s cold and dark outside in New Jersey
during this time period. As a result, for my mom,
she can go manic more easily.

And then in January, she tends to become more
depressed. This is the way it’s been for several
years. BUT, she, her doctor, therapist and myself
are on guard if the pattern changes.

I know sometimes it sounds like a whole lot
of work keeping track of this but it’s not once
you learn the skill.

This is the essence of what I teach in
my courses/systems:

SUPPORTING AN ADULT WITH BIPOLAR DISORDER?

SUPPORTING A CHILD/TEEN WITH BIPOLAR DISORDER?
Visit:
http://www.bipolarparenting.com

HAVE BIPOLAR DISORDER?
Visit:
http://www.survivebipolar.net

I am trying to teach you how to manage
bipolar disorder whether you have it
or you are a supporter.

So far I think I am doing good. I have
over 5000 submitted testimonials.

Also, one more thing, when you get my courses/systems
you’ll notice that many people have trouble in
the fall and winter. This doesn’t mean total
doom for people it just means they have to be more
on guard. See the doctor more. Monitor and
be on their toes so to speak.

Bottom line is, please just be aware. If you
have bipolar disorder and feel different, feel like
you may be going to an episode, “catch it,” talk
to your doctor. If you see episode warning signs
and symptoms and you are a bipolar supporter,
make sure you follow my plan in my supporter
course.

Well I have to take off, catch you tomorrow.

Your Friend,

Dave

Bipolar disorder warning about daylight saving time

Hi,

How’s it going?

Hope you are doing well. It’s Saturday so
I hope you have something fun planned.

Actually today I am going to a new bookstore
in Pennsylvania and also to the mall. I really
hate the mall. For some reason walking around
in the mall is like doing 25 sessions on
the treadmill. Anyway, I am going with
a friend and it’s suppose to be quick.

But the reason why I am going to the bookstore
is they have a new book that has some new information
related to bipolar disorder. It’s not about bipolar
disorder but another topic and we can “borrow” some
ideas from it to help us with bipolar disorder–
both supporters and survivors.

I will keep you posted.

I also wanted to ask you something. I am strongly
considering having a seminar in New Jersey. It would
be 100% free. No cost at all.

Here is my problem. I don’t know how many people
will show up. It’s going to be for a couple of
hours. I don’t want to get too big of a place
and spend a bunch of money I don’t need to.

It’s probably going to be in Warren County New
Jersey.

Do me a favor if you or someone else you know
would come please send me an email to
feedbacktodave@mentalhealthworld.net

I am not sure when it will be. Probably on
a Saturday. It would probably start at like 11:00am
and run to like 1:00pm. Then there would be time
for any and all questions. Oh NOT legal or medical
ones because you know, I am NOT a doctor, therapist,
lawyer, insurance agent and not a hedge trimmer.

Actually this is funny. Some asked me if I was “hedge
trimmer.” They thought I trimmed people’s hedges.

I think they got confused. I do consulting for HEDGE
FUNDS but I don’t trim hedges 🙂 LOL.

Okay let’s jump into today topic.

Daylight saving time is coming up. That’s when
you change the clocks in this case BACK. At 1:59am
the times goes to 1:00am instead of 2:00am.

If you want to know the history of it, do a google
search. It’s kind of interesting. It was done to
save money and add extra sunlight.

With that said, there’s a warning with
bipolar disorder.

For many daylight saving changes the way
a person feels. It can affect a person
mood. It can affect a person sleeping
pattern.

This change, can trigger a bipolar
disorder episode if you don’t watch it.

This has happen with my mom. It’s happen
with many other people I know as well.

However, today these people are aware of the
potential problem and have systems in place
on how to mitigate the affect of the change
in time. Also, these people know that if
they are affected for too many days, they
immediately call their doctors and or therapists.

I wanted to point this out because no one ever
talks about these things. Most people have
to learn them the hard way. It’s kind of annoying.

When you get my courses/systems, you find
a lot of these types of things that you would
never think affect bipolar disorder.

SUPPORTING AN ADULT WITH BIPOLAR DISORDER?

SUPPORTING A CHILD/TEEN WITH BIPOLAR DISORDER?

Actually in the next day I am going to talk about
something that happen to me at a bipolar disorder
support group. It’s about how a doctor their basically
would not say anything affected anyone with bipolar
disorder unless it was studied and researched. So,
in the case of daylight saving time, this person
would probably say it would not affect people
with bipolar disorder because there are no studies
that say it does.

Waiting and looking for studies for everything I think
is a dangerous game. Most things are NOT studied and
it takes years and years and years for studies to
come out IF they ever do. There are lots of things
that impact bipolar disorder that are NOT studied.
Why? Well first they don’t have money to do the
bipolar studies and #2, mental illness is not pressing
for people. It’s sad but true. Most studies are focused
on more popular illnesses.

Take a look at where the money goes in let’s say the
United States. It doesn’t go to mental health for the
most part. Take a look at mental health facilities
they are run down. Contrast this against cancer facilities.
It’s night and day. Also notice with cancer there are tons
and tons of studies but with bipolar disorder very
few.

Cancer is big business but bipolar disorder doesn’t
seem to be.

Okay enough of that. So make sure you are watching
out for daylight savings time and how it might affect
yourself or your loved one with bipolar disorder.

Well I have to run. Catch you tomorrow. And if
you have any stories about change in season or
daylight saving time, please let everyone know
by posting.

Sometimes people don’t believe what I say and
would hate for them to ignore what I say, have
a problem, go into a huge bipolar episode
and suffer.

Okay have to run. Catch you tomorrow.

Dave

Very interesting fact about bipolar disorder

Hi!

I hope you’re having a good week.

I was thinking about something today. I have
several people who work for me who have
bipolar disorder, and I always brag on them,
about how you would never know that they
have the disorder, unless they told you.

Of course, I live in New Jersey, and they
live in other places, all over the map. But I
was wondering about what they look like in
person. I mean, not their looks, but whether
in person, that you can or can’t tell that they
have bipolar disorder.

So that made me think about you and your
loved ones. If there’s almost 12 million people
with bipolar disorder, chances are you know
more than just your loved one with the
disorder. Can you tell or can you NOT tell
just by looking, if someone has bipolar disorder
or not?

Interesting question, don’t you think?

See, what made me think about it, too, was
the many emails I’ve gotten from people like
you, asking me about whether “it” is the
bipolar or the loved one, and about whether
they are “faking” it or not. That’s been a real
big issue, according to the emails and calls
I’ve gotten.

So I give it to you. What do you think?
What has been your experience? Can you
tell just by looking, if your loved one
has bipolar disorder or not? If so, what
is it about their behavior that gives them
away?

For those of you who can’t tell, what is
it about your loved one’s behavior
that is different, that doesn’t give them
away?

In my courses and systems, I talk about
what makes a person high-functioning.
This is what I think, at least by what the
people who work for me are concerned,
is what makes them different, and in my
courses I have a whole section on being
high functioning:

SUPPORTING AN ADULT WITH BIPOLAR DISORDER?

http://www.bipolarsupporter.com/report11

SUPPORTING A CHILD/TEEN WITH BIPOLAR DISORDER?
Visit:
http://www.bipolarparenting.com

HAVE BIPOLAR DISORDER?
Visit:

High-functioning behavior can make a
person with bipolar disorder NOT stand
out as someone with the disorder. Does
that make sense?

Whereas, on the other hand, someone who
has bipolar disorder, but is NOT high
functioning, would be someone who you
can tell DOES have bipolar disorder.

I have seen this firsthand – in the people
who work for me, those I have interviewed
for my courses, those who I have talked
to at the support groups I attend, and
others I have heard from via email and phone.

Now, I’d like to hear from you. What do
you think? Where does your loved one fall?

Well, I have to go, but I’m looking forward
to hearing from you!

Key bipolar supporter success secret

Hi,

How’s it going.

Today I have something really simple
to tell you. Short and simple. I have
to make it quick. I have to volunteer
tonight. Hand out candy and go to a
party so I have lots to do today.

With that said, yesterday I was at two
business meetings and I thought of
something with bipolar disorder.

The second meeting was great but
the first one got way off track
and it’s what made me think of
this key bipolar success secret.

I thought of it when a person was
on the “hot seat” in our meeting.

That means that a business owner
sits on a chair facing the group
of us and tells his 3 biggest problems
in his/her business and we brainstorm
solutions.

So this guy was on the hot seat and
guess what? He could not come up with
his three problems. He basically
just kept saying, “business hasn’t
been well.” He complained about high
gas prices, the war, and a bad economy.

He never said specifically what problems
he was having.

It was really annoying actually because
he wound up wasting a lot of time.

After I heard this, I thought
of how so many people wind up complaining
about bipolar disorder but never clearly
identify what are the exact problems
they have and never focus on solutions.

When I was first helping my mom,
I made a complete list of exactly what
problems I was having. Here is an excerpt
from my notes:

-Figure out what she has
-Find a doctor to help
-Figure out how to help her prevent it
-Help her be able to handle it
-Help her get out of de.bt

and there were many other things
but you get the idea.

NOTE-I put “it” because at the time
I really didn’t know or understand
what my mom had. This is before
I had done a ton of research.

When you get my courses/systems:

SUPPORTING AN ADULT WITH BIPOLAR DISORDER?
Visit:
http://www.bipolarsupporter.com/report11

SUPPORTING A CHILD/TEEN WITH BIPOLAR DISORDER?
Visit:
http://www.bipolarparenting.com

HAVE BIPOLAR DISORDER?
Visit:
http://www.survivebipolar.net

one thing that runs through it is the fact that you
have to be proactive and also you have
focus on solving problems not just complaining.

Many people just complain about bipolar
disorder and never come up with any solutions.

This is one of the biggest reasons that people
who do well with bipolar disorder don’t go to
or avoid support group meetings. Keep in mind
that I volunteer at three and have been for over
three years but I have noticed that many people
will not go because it turns into what one person
has said is a “complaint fest.”

I have to agree. It frustrates me that some
people just like to talk and complain and not
focus on solutions like the business owner
that I encountered yesterday.

I am sure there are many people on this list
that use to complain and then focused on finding
solutions and defining the exact problems they
had. These people wind up beating bipolar
and controlling it instead of it control them.

I am sure that you know people who always complain.
And if you offer them suggestions, they kind of
get mad. They just want to complain and never
want to fix the problem. I find it so true with
bipolar disorder. People love to complain
about it. They love to assume that whatever
the problems are, one is doomed and there
are no solutions. There are always solutions
to every “bipolar” problem. I have had
the most difficult problems and found
solutions.

With that said, I have to take off. Write me
some stories based on this email if you could.

Your Friend,

Dave

Shocking trait of bipolar disorder finally revealed

==>>Help with ALL aspects of bipolar disorder<<==

http://www.bipolarcentral.com/catalog.asp

Hi,

How’s it going?

I wanted to write you today about something
that’s rather interesting–a shocking
trait about bipolar disorder.

I have noticed now for many years that
there’s something really strange about
bipolar disorder. Well there are many
things but I find this one particular
thing most disturbing.

What is it?

It’s the fact that bipolar disorder episodes
wind up striking or occurring at the worst
possible times. The times that you are
least prepared. When you absolutely
don’t want an episode to occur.

I have some theories on this and
I will get to those in a second.

BUT, I want to remind everyone that
we have several holidays and events
coming up.

We have Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas,
New Years, and the New Year (I call this an
event as well).

You have to start to plan and think about
what you are going to do if your loved
one with bipolar disorder goes into an episode
or if you do.

During the next couple of months, many
people will have a difficult time coping
and dealing with bipolar disorder. Both
bipolar supporters and bipolar survivors.
This is a fact for the most part of bipolar
disorder.

The key is to be prepared and realize the
shocking trait of bipolar disorder that
is strikes at the worst possible times.

Here is some advice. Start to think of
what you will do if a bipolar disorder episode
occurs.

Things to think about:

How do you get a hold of the doctor/therapist
especially on a holiday.

What are you going to do if you are your loved
one with bipolar disorder is too manic or too
depressed for one of these holidays or events.

How are you going to handle other friends and
family members.

How are you going to handle the transition from
fun and holidays to the new year that is not
so fun and exciting (for many this leads to
depressive episodes).

What are you going to do if there is drinking
and you are there and you or your loved one
can’t drink.

How are you going to handle diet restrictions
for the new year.

What are you going to do about not having
money to spend on present if that’s the case

These are the kinds of questions you need
to ask and start thinking about. You have
to making a plan and can’t just hope for
the best.

I like to think about bipolar disorder
as like a person or “being” that inhabits someone
and it’s a slick person. It’s cunning. It works
hard to cause problems. It sits and waits
for the best time for it to strike. When
people’s guard is down. When people don’t want
to deal with it. When people’s resources
are low. It doesn’t strike when a person
is in front of a hospital or team of doctors
where it would be easily overcome, it strikes
when it has the greatest chance to create
the most problems.

Now some might read this and think I am
out of my mind and that it’s not a “person”
or “thing” and that if I think about it like
this I am crazy or that I have a mental illness.

When I do think about it this way it helps
me separate the bipolar disorder from my mom,
it helps me plan better and it becomes kind of
like a game–me versus the disorder. Who’s smarter.
Who will win. I am competitive so I take the challenge
seriously. I have taught this thinking to many people
and they find it helps them as well.

If you start to think of bipolar NOT your loved
one is the real problem and enemy so to speak
it becomes easier to deal with as well.

With that said, take some time today and figure
out a plan. Grab a blank sheet of paper and
start to brainstorm.

If you need help get one of my courses/systems
because I cover virtually every problem you will come
across.

I must say, for three years in a row
AFTER my mom’s big bipolar episode, I let
my guard down. I know this sounds dumb but
I thought my mom had “used up” her big
episodes and there wouldn’t be any more.

For three years my mom went from stable to
unstable in as little as 7 days and then
the system kicked in and she went back to being
stable. BUT, I must say I had to intervene
and if I didn’t, I am not sure if the system
would have done everything without my intervention.

BUT the good news is that I rebuilt all I learned
into my current courses/systems to prevent these
type of “doomsday scenarios” from happening
during holiday periods like we will
see over the next two months.

I know some people think I am negative or a major
downer but I just want to warn you so you don’t
get caught and then have to scramble and suffer
during the holidays and fun time.

I know that many people know exactly what I am
talking about. I would appreciate if you share a
story about bipolar and how it strikes at the
worst possible times.

On one last thing. Remember it’s the bipolar NOT
you or your loved one. There’s two separate things.
No one wants to have bipolar and many times what
is done is done because they can’t help it.

One final thought. I believe the reason why
it appears that bipolar always strikes during
the worst times is because bipolar episodes
are triggered many times by stress or events.
So during holidays or fun times that can push a
person into mania and then afterwards push a person
into depression. Fun events can in some cases fuel
bipolar episodes. And it’s during fun periods of
time you don’t want an episode so it winds up happening
during the time you want it least. Make sense? Hope so.

Well I have to run. I have a million things to
do. Catch you tomorrow.

Your Friend,

Dave

The biggest bipolar supporter secret

Hi,

How are you?

Boy, am I excited about today’s daily email
on bipolar disorder!

When you read it, you’ll see why.

Here’s an email that I got:

“Dear Dave,
I recently went on a cruise to the Bahamas
with my husband, and we were talking to another
couple we had just met, and I was telling the
woman about your website, and this man came
up to me from another table and apologized for
eavesdropping, but he said that he knew the
website I was talking about, and that 3 years ago
he found that website and got help for his son
from it.

He said that they took action because of
the information they got from the website, and
now his son is 20 years old, on medication, goes
to therapy, and is in college, and doing great!
He said it was all because he found bipolarcentral.com.
I just thought you should know
that people are being helped by your website.”

—————————————————-

Too often, I get emails that are from people
complaining, or being negative. But this
email is so encouraging to me, because it
tells me I’m doing my job, you know?

If this man’s son is doing so well now at 20
years old, that means he first found the
website when his son was only 17 years old!
And that he’s been reading and following the
website and reading my materials for 3
whole years now!

The point is, that he took action on my
materials, and look how good he is doing!
In all my materials, there is a section on
taking action in some way, shape, or form,
because if you only have the materials,
but don’t do anything about them, what
good are they?

I have three main courses/systems for helping
with bipolar disorder:

SUPPORTING AN ADULT WITH BIPOLAR DISORDER?
Visit:
http://www.bipolarsupporter.com/report11

SUPPORTING A CHILD/TEEN WITH BIPOLAR DISORDER?
Visit:
http://www.bipolarparenting.com

HAVE BIPOLAR DISORDER?
Visit:
http://www.survivebipolar.net

If you take the information from the
courses, like this man obviously did for his
son, you can rise above the bipolar disorder
just like he did, and you can beat it! Then
you can have success, just like his son did,
at the time when he would have needed it
the most!

Imagine it – at 17 years old, when most
adolescents are struggling with who they are
and other self-esteem issues, wondering what
to do with their lives, at that in-between time
of their lives… and also at that time that the
DSM-IV (the psychiatric “Bible”) says that
people begin to be traditionally diagnosed
with bipolar disorder… this young man got
the help he needed from bipolarcentral.com
and his whole life changed!

Can you imagine what his life would have
been like if he hadn’t gotten that help at
that time of his life? Do you really think
that he would be in college right now? Do
you really think that his bipolar disorder
would be under control like it is? Do you
really believe that he would be as stable
as his father brags that he is?

The big “secret” that his father was
bragging about, and that I want you to
take away from all this is that this
father not only discovered the infor-
mation on the website, but that he
TOOK ACTION on the information
he discovered on the website.

You also have discovered much
information, since you have been
reading these emails and, hopefully,
been getting my courses as well,
which truly educate you all about
bipolar disorder. But it’s not about
whether you get the information or
not.

IT’S ALL ABOUT WHETHER YOU
TAKE ACTION ON THE INFORMATION
YOU RECEIVE OR NOT!

This father TOOK ACTION on the
information he received 3 years ago
from bipolarcentral.com. At a time when
there weren’t a whole lot of bells and
whistles – at a time when there weren’t
a whole lot of extras – at a time when
there was basically just the courses.

But what did he do? He TOOK ACTION
on what he learned in those courses, and
he got help for his son, so that his son is
SUCCESSFUL today because of the action
his father took 3 years ago!

I would encourage you to take a lesson
from this story, and from this father’s
actions.

Unfortunately with my family action
was not taken for decades. It really wasn’t
until I was determined to help my mom
control bipolar did things turn around.

I made a lot of mistakes but eventually
found my way. You have to take action
especially when you are a bipolar supporter
you can’t just sit around and hope your
loved one gets better on their own.

It won’t happen.

Well I have to run, see you tomorrow.

Your friend,

Dave
