  1. i have been diagnosed with bipolar about a year and a half ago and i need to find someone that will be able to treat me for it.i can’t find any doctors that will see me for it. it has been interfering with my relationship with my fiancee.she has been dealing with my bipolar for almost 8 years now and she said i need medicine to help me with everything.thank you for all the information on bipolar,i hope to get more.

  2. David, do you realize that your search engine for news is including the link to your own site giving the news? 🙂 Perhaps running a quick editorial eye down the links might be good before publishing them…

  3. My husband’s whole family is bi-polar but he refuses to accept that he may be. He shows many simptoms of the dis-order. What worries me is that in March his brother committed suicide. He had been diagnosed for a number of years and stopped taking his medication for awhile until he got so bad he had to be committed. Then when he got out of the hospital he killed himself. I worry that my husband might get as bad as his brother did, but I can’t get him to see a doctor.

  4. My 18 yr.old son has bipolar and he is on medication for it, but before the meds what hurtful things he would say, the mood swings and everything that went along with it, this family was a mess. We were on eggshells all the time. He made me so stress out that I was glad that he was asleep all day and I didn’t care what time he got up. As long as he was out of my hair I was at peace. Then our mission trip was horrible at times. But praise the Lord we got through it and he had a few friends to keep him calm. He almost broke up with his girlfriend, and she is patient with him. So he went to doctors and got avaluated and he is on medication. He actually scares us the way he get angry. Now he is so nice and we can deal with him and actually talk to him with out being stressed out. When I saw this on my email I thought wow I need to read this. And I read everything you sent me and I have learned so much, I even shared it with my girlfriend, she believes this maybe her daughter has Bipolar also. But God Bless you for doing all this resurch, you are a blessing to us all. Thank you so very much for your time and energy. Not to many people knows about bipolar. In fact alot of people thinks that a person that can not handle the world is just lazy. My son has a hard time keeping a job an passing for his permit to learn to drive. They automatic thinks that he is just lazy. I got very upset with this person knowing there is something wrong. To this day this person thinks its all in is head. My son also had to drop out of school cause he could not handle the pressure of crule kids. Now he is going for his GED this September and hopefully he will find a job. If he can handle it. But thanks for all your information. God Bless You

  5. David,
I have lived with a manic depressive bipolar for 39 years until he died in 2005. It was the hardest thing I ever did. His body could not stand the meds for his illness, so we had to learn together to help him go through his moods alone. I have been writing a book for over 14 years about him and our family and I thank you for what you have put in writing for others to see and know about the illness. I was unfortunate to get this help in time. His body could not take the medicines to help him. We had to do it alone. God bless you for your help. Jean
