With tears running down my cheeks, not only for joy to communicate with you but also for sadness because I lost my family this past week-end due to a manic episode. Thanks to caring people like you who like to help others I came across you web site. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I have not been diagnosed as bipolar but I have been diagnosed as manic depressive. I also think you should know that I will be following your program on my own. I want to learn how to deal with the way I am and become a better person because of it. There is a God out there and he lead me to you. I have a 16 year old son, he has had episodes since he was 8 years old. He has been expelled from school a few times, he has been arrested a few times and locked up a few times. He was diagnosed once with bipolar when he was locked up but nothing since then. Without the proper diagnosis how can I get the right help?
I’ve been treated for Bipolar Diorder for most of my adult Life, with a new episode on the birh of my children, plus 2 more besides.
Both mu Phychiatrist and Therapist say I’m doing very well….YET I know that I’ve had weight game , even though my apetite isn’t big.
One of the side effect on Lithium is weight game.I’m looking forward to buying your book when I get my next paycheck(about Alternative Medcine) I would like to look into Therapy to go along with this in the Chicago/Suburban area. THANKS, Dave..
I wish there was someway to convince someone very close to my heart to get help. She refuses because she says she doesn’t want to be on meds for the rest of her life. I have never witnesses a major episode but have seen several minor bouts with depression which she even refuses to discuss with me
