The Truth About Medication And Bipolar Disorder That Many Don’t Realize

Hi,

I wanted to send something out because I have been getting the same question from people over and over again.

It started because I sent out:

“How to Find a Doctor, Psychiatrist and/or Therapist For You or Your Loved One and Get Them to Contact You”

Located at:

People have been asking me, “What’s the best medication for bipolar disorder?”

First let me say, I am NOT a doctor or therapist. I am NOT offering medical advice.

If you are asking yourself this question, it’s not the right question. The question should be, “how do I find the right doctor who can help me get on the right medication or medications.”

That’s the question. The key to finding the best medication for you or your loved one is finding a great doctor.

Don’t forget this. I know it sounds so simple but so many people miss this point.

If you need help finding a doctor or therapist and want them to contact you, then check this out:

Have a great day.

  1. People will always ask the question especially if their meds aren’t working from them. Some have tried many and still are symptomatic. Like me. My meds were working for a long time then suddenly some stopped working. This in the throws of trying to find a good pdoc who would help me find the right combination.

I will always ask someone what works for them, especially when I’m symptomatic.

  2. Hi David,

I’m doing ok, other than cursing at my older dog for leaving me a present in the back room…grrr Ah well too bad she would wear depends lol.
I’ve sent my hubby all your emails to help him as he is my support, as I’m the lucky one to have BPD. At first I think they were reluctant to diagnosis me with BPD because for the most part I am calm, but I do act out, which is extremely frustrating and embarrassing to boot. In addition I have a tendency, ok, a significant tendency to do myself self harm. I don’t know if all persons with BPD feel this way, but often it is a result of low self esteem, self loathing for perhaps things that occurred in our childhood that we had no control over. If it would help you and others that are reading your site, I would willing to contribute what is going on in the mind of someone with BPD. I keep thinking you sent me a site to reply on but can’t find it, so I hope you receive this ok and if you would like me to respond on a different site/e mail address could you send it once again….I promise to save it Have a wonderful holiday Davod and thanks for all your help! Hope all is well with you too 🙂

  3. LOL, ok obviously if I am posting on here I won’t need an e mail address (head shaking) Hmmm, maybe I’m going senile too 🙂
