This is an odd email. You see, I have had a million (okay not that many exactly), a ton, ask me about sex and bipolar disorder.
A topic, I really didn’t want to get into. Kind of like I didn’t want to get into natural c.res and bipolar disorder but I had to tackle that since so many people wanted answers.

I was told I had BP over 9 Years ago.
I seen psych. for real problems, psych did not want the Truth, told me it was: “An acuite depressive episode.”
it then loded me with “Antipsychotics.” Which Nobody needs.
Why not force feed me “Antidepressants?”
I was in a Drug Coma for 1 Week, then I seen it again, then it told me I was BP?
ALL MUST BE MADE THE SAME WAY. AS PROFESSORS, BELIEVE THE DRUGS CAUSE THE DISORDER AS THEY CAUSE BRAIN DAMAGE, WHICH LEADS TO THESE BEHAVIOURS.
THOUGH THEY CAN FIND NONE WITH THE DISORDER WHO ARE “DRUG VIRGINS.”
THEIRFORS IT IS COMPLEATLY 100% IATROGENIC, CAUSED BY POLYPHARMACY!
The Sex thing, I have quite a low Sex Drive, at anytime.
On the Meds I have nothing at all.
My psych., it told me Zyprexa can give you a permanant errection.
I BELIEVE Zyprexa only gives you Diabeties. What a Co-Incidence, Lillys’ 2nd biggest earner are Diabeties Meds?

Does Sex benefit a Bi-Polar sufferer, my daughter and Fiance do not have a sex life as he is Christian and will not sleep with her till they are married. Being in a stable and long term relationship and committed to each other I think they should have that bond with each other and was kind og hoping it would be something that would help her with the chemicals in her brain releasing all those good feeling endorpines. What do people think? Might do him the world of good he is high strung and stressed a lot.LOL
To DDIAMOND: “Sex” is a normal release for ANYONE with bipolar disorder. Unfortunately, once “freed” from virginity, the bipolar survivor will experiment with ANYONE, not necessarily her betrothed or significant other.
It’s a POWERFUL drive in our chemical imbalance. I dated my first boyfriend for 8 months, just “mutually masterbation,” before we had intercourse. I then went on a “rampage” of sleeping with ANYONE who looked in my direction. I was ignorant of the possibility of pregnancy, STDs, and other sexual issues. I wouldn’t wish the “sex drive” on ANYONE.
Sure – your daughter having sex with her fiance may just be the thing she NEEDS at this time. But – it’s like a “ticking timebomb” in her psyche – can she CONTROL it, and be exclusive to her boyfriend??!! These are questions – and there are MANY others – to ponder BEFORE your daughter has sex. I’m speaking from experience; every manic episode I had, I was sleeping around from INSTINCT and IMPULSE. This, too, could happen to your daughter. Make sure she has protection.
