1. I have a question. If someone would answer me I would really appreciate it. One of the post said that people with bipolar usually only have like 2 episodes a year. I know everyone is different, I am on meds and doing much better, but it seems like I get angry a LOT, I know when I get to a certain point I have to leave work because I am afraid of what I might do or say. But this happens to me all the time, not just a couple times a year. So am I just like way off the mark or why do I get that way so often? Is it normal at all? i am still trying to understand all of it, and only recently diagnoised, but this has been going on for years and getting worse, until recently. Could someone please explain why I get that way so often?

You Are Success! I love your tips, your daily pointers, your encouragement.

My son is 18; was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2007.

He’s getting ready to take his driver’s test and his GED. Feeling pretty anxious about them.

Also, wants to leave home and find his place in the world.

I am so afraid he will go. I want him to wait and get things in place before leaving. He should figure out what it is he want to do before he goes……

Do you have any advice for a mother who fears her son will not be safe? I’m trying to do the best that I can. He’s a good young man who needs guidance and support.

Is there an organization you can point me to for help?

We are in Las Vegas, Nevada.

I am grateful for your important work. Thank you for the daily support.

    My Best to You,
    Sylvia Hill

  3. Hi Dave,

I’m bipolar and missed one day of cymbalta. I begin withdrawing as early as 8:30 a.m. and stopped withdrawing at 5:00 p.m. after I took the cymbalta. I called ahead and said I was in error and needed at least one cymbalta because I didn’t give the nursing staff enough time to fill the free sample prescription. When I arrived and suffering from withdrawal symptoms, the nurse in charge started yelling at me, “Saying we service 70 people a day; you need to give us at least 3 days. Then, she started poking me and I said, “Please, you have no right to touch me and I’m sensitive to touch.” Then, she said, “I’m going to call the police because you are ugly.” I said, “I’m sorry that I’m withdrawing, I need one pill.” She said, “I’ll get you seven and then said, “Here’s one”. I took the pill and she said, “Young Welcome.” I took the pill and said, “No thank you.” She then called in the morning to apologize for stepping stepping over the line and that I needed help, not her attitude. She asked me to accept her apology and I did. She put me through hell when I was going through hell. Maybe she was bipolar!
