Bipolar Lesson Learned From Energy Drink That Made Me VERY Sleepy

Hi,

It’s 8:39am and I am really tired. I have to head
over to the gym shortly. Unfortunately yesterday
was sick half the night because of “some”
natural energy drink that I had.

I drank it at 4:15pm and within an hour
I was sick. I felt terrible. I actually
had zero energy at all and felt like
I couldn’t do a thing.

I am writing you today an important message
about natural stuff and bipolar disorder.

Many people want either themselves or
their loved ones to use natural supplements.

You might know this about me or you might
not, buy I do take a lot of supplements. I
take really good ones that have been carefully
picked over the years. Occasionally someone
persuades me to try something new. Most times
it’s garbage. I do try a number of new protein
and meal replacement shakes however.

But yesterday’s product was terrible and it
got me to thinking about all the emails
that I get from people who have
bipolar disorder and:

took a natural supplement and it interfered
with their medicine and they went into an
episode

took a natural supplement and it made them
sick because of the ingredients it had in it
and eventually led to them having a bipolar
episode

took a natural supplement and it did nothing
for them at all.

There’s a ton of junk out there. Most supplements
are NO good. They are total junk. I know the
supplement industry VERY well. You would laugh
if you saw some of the owners of these companies
they are the OPPOSITE of health. They smoke.
They are way over weight. They aren’t healthy.
They come up with a product and they think
they can make a lot of money.

There are a few owners that are in great shape
and really put science into what they are selling.
You have to make sure they these are the companies
you are buying from.

WARNING!

There’s a big warning when it comes to supplements.
If you have bipolar disorder, you ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY
MUST talk to your doctor FIRST, that’s FIRST before
you take them.

Supplements of any kind can interfere with your bipolar
disorder medication. They absolutely can. No question
about it. Even if they are “natural.” Many scam companies
have ingredients that are even natural in them like
aspartame. Take a look at the back of many supplements
and you will find an ingredient that many people across
the world say is a REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, bad for human
beings. I personally agree and stay far away from aspartame.

Anyway, after I took the energy drink, it reminded me
that there could be many people on my list that have
bipolar disorder taking drinks or different supplements
and not running it past their doctor first. That’s a
big mistake and I wanted to issue a warning.

In today’s day and age, most doctors are into supplements
and won’t freak out if you take them. My mom’s doctor
has recommended that she take certain supplements as well
in addition to her medication.

NOTE: Let me be clear since we are taking about supplements
and medication. I am NOT and I repeat I am NOT a doctor
or even a lawyer, therapist, or professional. This is just
my opinions. You should formulate your own opinions and
carefully research what I say and check with either your
loved ones bipolar doctor or your doctor for bipolar disorder.
I just want you to be clear so I don’t mislead you.

Anyway, supplements and herbs are serious things. Be careful
with them. I took something natural yesterday at 4:15 or so.
Within an hour I had NO energy, I felt week, I could barely
walk myself out of the gym. I had to lay on the couch. I had
to cancel my meetings that evening. It was bad. I didn’t sleep
well all night and started feeling better about 7:00am.

My friends who called to check up on me were laughing saying
that I was a freak because I took an energy drink and it made
me tired. But I really have no idea what it was. I am going
to have my doctor friend look into the ingredients. BUT
I must add one thing. It could have been a fluke thing because
maybe I caught some 24 virus the same time I took the product.
I am not sure but I am not taking it again.

If you listen to any of the interviews that I have done
in my courses, you hear time and time again how people
made mistakes themselves or with their loved ones with
bipolar disorder when they started adding natural thigns
into treatment and not running it past the doctor.

  1. Are you familiar with TRUEHOPE from Canada? They have developed a natural supplement for bipolar. Their family had a history of suicide and bipolar.

    Dee

  2. No way, no how and no thank you is my belief on herbal medicines and supplements that may “so call” help bipolar disease. The way I see it, my doctor knows my history and I am on the correct medication. I would never think of changing my medication for an herbal dose of WHAT. There are medications that lower cholesterol and I would not take a chance on those drugs either. My husband had a 5 way bypass at the age of 34 and I strongly believe that he would be using bad judgement if he didn’t take his prescribed medication from his cardiologist.

  3. Dear Dave,
Please help and hear me out on this. I was just dumped [again] by my x-fiance in very painful manner. The story is unbelievable. His behaviors, mood patterns, and actions mimic those described in information I have found online for Bipolar Disorder. He is a loose cannon out there and needs help. I need someone’s input who knows how this disease could affect one’s mood and behavior in a close relationship. I am still in shock and I am looking for something to make sense out of it. I am so confused and now have to question everything that was said and done over the past year. I have never been with anyone so unstable, but yet so highly functional in the work world.

  4. Dave~ You have dramtic life. Somthing seems to happen (sometime tramatic)To you our others to inspire you to tell us these stories,as you weave in your sales pitch.
I have loved reading others stories and responding to some back and forth.
I understand you are running a business. That comes with making $.Do not have to tell these pitiful stories for each day.
If you beleive in your product. Sell it.Not by pulling on heart strngs like claiming you drank some herbal thing. If you had all this knowledge. I find it hard to beleive you would even drink such a thing .Seeing you have your very own website.
Why are you taking advantage of some that will GIVE anything to get better.Give their life savings. YOU know this I do not know if you products are good or not.I have heard great things. But I have heard crying ouut from others .You give them so much hope.
Then you slap the price of 1 mini course.
There is so much more I would like to say. I am sure this will be deleted. Dave~ I know you have helped poeple and that is comendable. Does Money have more to do with now? Are you feeling the people?

    A Success Story,
    Tonya

  5. Dear David,

I have written to you before to tell you about my husband, who has a milder form of bi-polar.

It’s important to tell people that bi-polar disorder is not a one-size illness; there are varying degrees of it. Just as he has a son from his first marriage who is profoundly retarded, there are people who are only mildly retarded and doing fine.

Tom has a milder form of bi-polar, and functions well unless something really upsets his apple cart. One of the worst episodes he had during our 25-year marriage was because of a vitamin supplement he was taking with a diet (appetite-supressant) component. You are SO correct to warn against these things, which are not fully regulated by the Food and Drug Administration but can be powerful nonetheless.

For a non-medical, non-professional consultant, your words and experiences have been a lifesaver. You are now aware of how many bi-polar individuals, their families and supporters are out there. PLEASE consider putting your collective advice in the form of a book people can buy, published by one of the major publishers. It would be edited and promoted by the publisher, and that would save you a lot of time. You can still write all the day-to-day observations you offer, but you wouldn’t have to oversee publishing and disseminating the information as you do. You could do sequels to the book as you gather more information. This would reach an even wider audience and ultimately, be more profitable to you financially, with less energy expended. You could do it in cooperation with a doctor, and with advice from a lawyer, if you are concerned about liability. You must be a young guy to do all you do, but this would free you up to do more research and get out your daily tips.

We have come to rely-on and appreciate everything you send in these daily messages. Thank you for this incredible resource! We bought your good information on affording medical care, too. This stuff should be printed and promoted by a major publisher, though, to reach a wider audience.

Bi-polar — in all its varieties — obviously is more widespread than anyone realized before. I, personally, have met many people whose chldhoods were totally confused by a bi-polar parent. Thank you again for sharing your experience with us.

    Your fan,

    C.

  6. IT’S ABOUT 3 MONTHS LATER AND WOW! I STILL HAVENT’ RECEIVED THE 3 BOOKS THAT I ORDERED FROM A MEXICAN DESERT TRIP I TOOK ABOUT THAT MUCH TIME AGO.

I AM YAWNING MY BRAIN APART LATELY (LOL) AND IT’S BECAUSE I ALSO KEEP DRINKING A “RED” BEVERAGE AND IT MADE ME OH SO SLEEPY.

ANYWAY I WAS ABLE TO GET THE VERSIONS OF THE BOOKS I TRULY LOVE IN THE STATES SO I AM VERY PLEASED. I JUST HAVE TO SWITCH OVER TO A CLEARER DRINK NOW – PERHAPS “CLEARLY CANADIAN” – IT HAS A CERTAIN BUZZ TO IT AND IT TASTE ALOT LIKE PELIGRINO ETC.
