Regarding the article on doctors rethinking the “popularity” of diagnosing children with bipolar; I have a son with bipolar. I also have 2 kids who have symptoms, but they are remarkably lesser symptoms than the one who has been diagnosed. Having symptoms does not mean you have a disorder. Milder symptoms show up in children and adults who are capable of self-managing their symptoms as they mature.Self-control is a learned from a strong belief in the power of prayer and renewing our minds by reading, believing, and practicing God’s word. Self-absorption, selfishness, entitlement (all of which are so prevalent today in many youth and young adukts) mirror symptoms of bipolar. Let’s not get the two condused.
