=>PLEASE FORWARD TO FRIENDS, FAMILY AND LOVED ONES <=\n\nHi,\n\nHow are you?\n\nI have this friend and he believes in \nsomething that is so strange. It's so \nvery odd.\n\nOkay, first he does not have a mental \nillness that anyone knows of. Seriously, \nit's not that he has bipolar disorder or \nanything.\n\nI say that because what I am about to tell \nyou is so strange you might think, \"maybe \nhe has a mental illness.\"\n\nI can tell you, there are many others, though,\nwho think like him.\n\nBut from his thinking, there is an important \nbipolar lesson.\n\nSo let me get into it.\n\nOkay, I have a friend that believes in (and I \nam not kidding) a global conspiracy.\n\nHe (and others) believe that there are \n\"people\" or \"elites\" that are trying to, and let \nme try to get this right, merge all the countries \ntogether and create one gigantic country.\n\nThese people don't have names and he can \nnever tell me where they are located.\n\nThey are working hard to destroy the current \nsystem and make a new one which \"they\" \ncontrol.\n\nAgain, \"they\" don't have names or countries \nthey are attached to.\n\nNow my friend is on like a bipolar inner \ncircle but for conspiracies. He gets a CD \nof the month where people talk about \nconspiracies and find stuff that prove it exists.\n\nIf the price of oil goes up, my friend says \nthat's proof of the conspiracy.\n\nIf it goes down, same thing.\n\nHe can take a normal event that happens, \nlike a bank fails, then that is \"them\" getting \ncloser to controlling the world.\n\nYou might think that I am making this \nup, but I am not.\n\nIt's really very strange. He is a doctor, too.\n\nHe has so conditioned himself to think \nnegatively, it colors every single aspect \nof this life.\n\nIf you met him, he would seriously preach \nto you about the conspiracy. If you didn't \nagree, he would laugh at you and tell you \nthat you will be crying in the future and \nthat you should prepare.\n\nHe is preparing to build a kind of compound \nor something far away from people when \nI guess they take over.\n\nWhen I ask him when the conspiracy started \nsome days it's 50 years ago, other times it's 1000.\n\nHe doesn't even realize that what he is saying \ndoes not make any sense. \n\nWhat does this have to do with bipolar disorder?\n\nWell you see, I believe that because my friend \nthinks so negatively about society and people, \nhe has hurt himself. \n\nI keep telling him that he has been stagnant in \nlife and it's because of this.\n\nThink about it, if you thought there was a \nglobal conspiracy against you by \"them\" would \nyou even work at all? Or would you just hang out \nand be lazy?\n\nNow with bipolar disorder, some people believe \nit's a curse, it's unfair, it's not controllable, etc.\n\nThese type of negative thoughts make it almost \nimpossible to be a success and have bipolar \ndisorder.\n\nIn my courses\/systems, I promote the importance \nof being productive, so that you don't just sit \naround being lazy, because then you'll be \nstagnant like my friend. Yes, sometimes people with bipolar
\ndisorder do have strange thoughts. But
\nit’s usually only when they’re in a bipolar
\nepisode. Not when they’re in a “normal”
\nperiod!<\/p>\n

Normally they think very clearly, and don’t
\ntalk about “global conspiracies,” do they?<\/p>\n

Something like this is called a delusion.<\/p>\n

But the thing about my friend believing all this
\nstuff is that he could have too much time
\non his hands. That could be how all this got
\nstarted with him.<\/p>\n

Be careful. If you’re not productive, you
\ncould have too much time on your hands, too.
\nI mean, I’m not saying you’d turn out like my
\nfriend or anything. I’m just saying that being
\nproductive is a very big part of being successful
\nwith bipolar disorder.<\/p>\n

Another reason why I think maybe my friend
\nbelieves like he does is that someone put the
\nidea in his head and he just ran with it. He
\nstopped thinking on his own.<\/p>\n

For you, that would be like going to a bipolar
\nsupport group, and someone says that their
\nmedication is the best medicine to take for
\nbipolar disorder because it worked the best
\nfor their sister and their aunt and it works the
\nbest for them and so you should take it too
\nbecause it will work the best for you.<\/p>\n

So if you were to listen to them and believe
\nthem without thinking on your own and
\nwithout checking with your doctor, well,
\nthat’s like how my friend is acting. Not
\nthinking on his own. Just believing what
\nother people say.<\/p>\n

And that could be really dangerous for
\nsomeone with bipolar disorder, because
\nwhat if someone told you there was a cure
\nfor the disorder and you didn’t have to take your
\nmedication any more and you listened to them?<\/p>\n

That would be the WORST thing in the world for you!!!<\/p>\n

It could even KILL you!!!<\/p>\n

At the very least, going off your medication
\nwould make you go into a bipolar episode, and
\nyou wouldn’t want that, would you?<\/p>\n

So what do you think about my friend?<\/p>\n

Do you think he has a mental illness?<\/p>\n

Do you think he’s just a victim of listening
\nto the wrong people?<\/p>\n

Or what DO you think about it?<\/p>\n

Because I sure can’t figure it out, and sure
\nwould like to get a “second opinion” on it.<\/p>\n
