Hi,<\/p>\n

Before we get started, I wanted to say…<\/p>\n

H A P P Y M O T H E R S D A Y<\/p>\n

If you are a mother. Well, I got some bad
news about someone who works for me with
bipolar disorder.<\/p>\n

She began going into an episode a few weeks
ago. I detected it. She detected it and
did call her doctor and there were medication
changes.<\/p>\n

BUT, eventually that wasn’t enough and she
had to be taken to the hospital. I wanted
to share this story because she is a true
role model and so is her husband.<\/p>\n

She practices what I preach in my Bipolar
Success Course (she is actually featured
in it).<\/p>\n

Let’s look at some things that she and
her husband had in place:<\/p>\n

She had a plan on which hospital to go to<\/p>\n

Her husband knew where to take her, and
what the doctor’s phone number is<\/p>\n

She had a plan in place if she got
sick on how to inform me<\/p>\n

She didn’t fight her husband tooth and
nail because they had a special agreement<\/p>\n

Her husband knew the signs to watch for
to determine when she needed to go
to the hospital<\/p>\n

Her husband had permission to call me
and let me know what was going on<\/p>\n

She had a system in place if she was
to get sick on how someone else could
easily take her place<\/p>\n

She did finish her assignments before
she was put into the hospital. (Note
she didn’t have to but was able to…
amazing)<\/p>\n

I told a friend about this and he said
“Man it must be hard to work with
all those people with different
disorders.” Actually I don’t think
so at all. I have 4 businesses and
I can compare and contrast.<\/p>\n

With the entire organization that
deals with mental health, there is
more redundancy and more systems
in place if someone gets ill. EVERYONE
realizes that they can get ill so
they put a plan in place for someone
who may have to take over.<\/p>\n

I am sure we run more efficiently
and effectively than 98% of other
organizations our size.<\/p>\n

This particular person who works for
me who has bipolar disorder is truly
a role model and so is her husband.<\/p>\n

I will be interviewing her when she
gets back and is okay. Along with
her husband so you can learn from
them even more than what I wrote
in this email.<\/p>\n

Here is the things that she has told
me in the past.<\/p>\n

You can go into an episode even
if you do everything right.<\/p>\n

After episodes I have to look back
to figure out if this was a “freak”
episode or one that was brought on
because of things that were done
incorrectly. I call this post
episode analysis and she engages
in it and involves her husband.<\/p>\n

This creates a situation that allows
for on going refinement of her bipolar
stability equation<\/p>\n

Also, by her “leveling” with me and
not keeping me in the dark when she
is not doing well, I totally respect
that and when she gets back, she will
have a job.<\/p>\n

She is a complete role model. Right now
you might be feeling bad for her. Since
I know her well, I know she would not
want you to feel bad, she would want
you to learn from her.<\/p>\n

According to her husband, she is improving
each and should be back in a few
weeks.<\/p>\n

She is truly an incredible person. She is
in all my courses\/systems as an interview.<\/p>\n
