{"id":553,"date":"2009-01-06T08:45:06","date_gmt":"2009-01-06T12:45:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bipolarcentral.com\/bipolarsupporterblog\/?p=553"},"modified":"2009-03-12T00:35:31","modified_gmt":"2009-03-12T04:35:31","slug":"bipolar-lesson-from-man-married-4-times","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.bipolarsupporter.com\/bipolarsupporterblog\/bipolar-lesson-from-man-married-4-times\/","title":{"rendered":"Bipolar Lesson From Man Married 4 Times"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hi,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">How&#8217;s it going?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I went to a meeting recently with several successful business people.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">My goal was to meet up with them and get them to help me with a few aspects of my organization.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">My mission was accomplished.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">But while I was there, I discovered that one of my friends, who is a really successful business person, was married FOUR (not a typo) times!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Oh, but that&#8217;s not the worst of it!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He&#8217;s about to get married for the FIFTH (not a typo) time!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">So he decided that before he did, he would do the following:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">1.\tGo to extensive therapy<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">2.\tPick 9 friends that had to all agree that it was okay to marry anyone new<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">3.\tMake a list of must haves, can&#8217;t stands, non-negotiables, and traits that he wanted in his next wife.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">4.\tUnderstand why he got married and divorced so many times (relying on the therapist to guide him).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I was thinking about this and thinking about how this concept is perfect for bipolar disorder.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Many times people with the disorder are married multiple times because of the impulsivity of the disorder.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I know of a man who got married in a bipolar episode.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">And another woman who did it twice!
