Many people get frustrated with bipolar disorder. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Especially supporters.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Their loved one says something strange.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Their loved one isn’t acting like they normally do.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Something happens.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Their loved one is in another episode.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

They can’t get in touch with the doctor right away.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

They don’t know what to do.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Many supporters don’t just get frustrated.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

They give up.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

They give in.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

They basically feel like it’s all over \u2013<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Like they’ve lost the war.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Well, if you’re really feeling like this, I want to encourage you.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I know, you’re probably thinking I’m crazy, right?<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Where can I find anything in all this to be encouraged about?<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I’ll tell you.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It’s this:<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

You may feel as if you’ve lost the battle, but you have NOT lost the war!<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

With bipolar disorder, it’s like you’re in a “forever” kind of war.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And sometimes you may feel as if you’re fighting battles right and left, all around you.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

But the fight against bipolar disorder <\/span>is still a war that you can WIN!<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It’s how they fight their battles.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It’s how they win the war.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Well, as a supporter to a loved one with bipolar disorder, you have to have strategies, too.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Strategies like standing beside your loved one even when they’re in an episode.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Strategies like supporting your loved one through good times AND bad.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Strategies like making sure your loved one takes their medication.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Strategies like helping your loved one to manage their disorder.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Strategies like being the best supporter you can possibly be.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Remember, you’re in a war, too \u2013<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

You have an enemy, too \u2013<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And that enemy is called bipolar disorder.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

But that enemy CAN be defeated!<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Yes, you’ll lose some battles along the way.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

BUT\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

If you DON’T GIVE UP\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
