How\u2019s it going?<\/p>\n

I hope you are doing well. I noticed on my blog at www.bipolarcentral.com\/bipolarsupporterblog<\/a><\/p>\n

were asking \u201cwhere\u2019s David.\u201d I really don\u2019t know why. I am right here. What\u2019s the reason people are asking where I am. I am here every day : )<\/p>\n

Okay, let\u2019s move to today\u2019s topic.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s a lot of things you don\u2019t have to be to get by in this life.<\/p>\n

You don\u2019t have to be popular.<\/p>\n

You don\u2019t have to be rich.<\/p>\n

You don\u2019t have to be beautiful.<\/p>\n

You don\u2019t have to be thin.<\/p>\n

You don\u2019t have to be powerful.<\/p>\n

You don\u2019t have to be famous.<\/p>\n

You don\u2019t even have to be president.<\/p>\n

But one thing you do have to be is:<\/p>\n

PERSISTENT.<\/p>\n

People who get anywhere in life ARE persistent.<\/p>\n

They set goals, and they achieve them, and that means being persistent.<\/p>\n

If you want to get rich, that means being persistent.<\/p>\n

You start off small, maybe with a little bit of capital, with your big goal in mind, and every day you\u2019re persistent at your goal, and eventually you reach it, and you become rich.<\/p>\n

The main point is, you don\u2019t become rich overnight.<\/p>\n

It takes being persistent to reach that goal.<\/p>\n

That holds true for those other things I listed as well.<\/p>\n

You just can\u2019t reach a goal overnight.<\/p>\n

You have to set smaller goals along the way\u2026<\/p>\n

And then, by being persistent, you reach that bigger goal.<\/p>\n

People who try to reach a goal without persistence usually fall on their faces.<\/p>\n

Do you know why?<\/p>\n

Because they try to do it too quickly, and don\u2019t take the steps necessary to get there.<\/p>\n

For example, the business owner who doesn\u2019t do it the right way, just jumps in there and maybe follows one of those \u201cget rich quick\u201d schemes\u2026<\/p>\n

And loses all his money, because he didn\u2019t read the fine print\u2026<\/p>\n

Because he thought he could get rich overnight\u2026<\/p>\n

Because he didn\u2019t want to pay the price\u2026<\/p>\n

Because he didn\u2019t want to set the big goal and take the necessary steps to reach it\u2026<\/p>\n

Because he didn\u2019t want to be persistent.<\/p>\n

It reminds me of the old fable of the tortoise and the hare.<\/p>\n

Do you remember it?<\/p>\n

Where they both start off the same\u2026<\/p>\n

But the hare thinks he can get off easy by running quickly, then being lazy, because he underestimates the tortoise.<\/p>\n

So he stops halfway through, and rests, figuring he can catch up easily later, and finish the race in first place.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the tortoise, although the slower of the two, keeps going steadily along (with persistence), never stopping, until he reaches the finish line, winning the race.<\/p>\n

Thus we have the expression, \u201cSlow and steady wins the race.\u201d<\/p>\n

That slow and steady could be renamed \u201cbeing persistent.\u201d<\/p>\n

And that\u2019s what you have to do with bipolar disorder.<\/p>\n

See, there\u2019s lots of things you have to do to be persistent with the disorder, that I go over in my courses\/systems:<\/p>\n

If you go after them slow and steady\u2026<\/p>\n

Setting big goals and persistently meeting the smaller goals along the way\u2026<\/p>\n

Then eventually you will reach stability\u2026<\/p>\n

Just like that tortoise won his race!<\/p>\n
