Make Sure You Report This If It&#8217;s True"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hi,<\/p>\n<p>How&#8217;s it going?<\/p>\n<p>I wanted to tell you something important.<\/p>\n<p>If you have been on my list for a while, you know that there was a company that did my shipping that almost destroyed this entire organization.<\/p>\n<p>They lied. They cheated. They didn&#8217;t ship stuff.  They were horrible. This started about 2 years ago and went on for about 7 months.<\/p>\n<p>Now I have had a great shipping company for over a year.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, the reason why this company could get away with it is because nobody ever reported them and new people who replaced the old people wound up not knowing or being able to look to find out if they were a scam.<\/p>\n<p>Many people who were scammed got mad but never told any body.<\/p>\n<p>This happens with mental health places and doctors as well.<\/p>\n<p>If you seriously believe you or your loved one with bipolar disorder has been mistreated, treated way unfair, or abused, etc. report it.<\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t just keep your mouth closed.<\/p>\n<p>Why?<\/p>\n<p>Well because this will help the system get better.<\/p>\n<p>There is still a stigma in this country against the mentally ill.<\/p>\n<p>I talk about this in my courses\/systems below:<\/p>\n<p>SUPPORTING AN ADULT WITH BIPOLAR DISORDER?<br \/>\nVisit:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bipolarsupporter.com\/report11\">http:\/\/www.bipolarsupporter.com\/report11<\/a><\/p>\n<p>SUPPORTING A CHILD\/TEEN WITH BIPOLAR DISORDER?<br \/>\nVisit:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bipolarparenting.com\">http:\/\/www.bipolarparenting.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p>HAVE BIPOLAR DISORDER?<br \/>\nVisit:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.survivebipolar.net\">http:\/\/www.survivebipolar.net<\/a><br \/>\nStigma is one of the reasons that people with mental illnesses, such as bipolar disorder, don&#8217;t say anything about their disorders, for fear of what other people will think of them.<\/p>\n<p>So, instead, they allow themselves to be mistreated by &#8220;the system&#8221; and other people and not say anything.<\/p>\n<p>They don&#8217;t know that they have rights.<\/p>\n<p>Or, even those that do know it, don&#8217;t say anything about it, because they&#8217;re scared of what would happen.<\/p>\n<p>Many people with bipolar disorder just &#8220;don&#8217;t want to make trouble.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>But if you don&#8217;t make &#8220;trouble&#8221; sometimes, if you don&#8217;t make your voice heard, how are things going to get better?<\/p>\n<p>How will things not only get better for you, but for other people with bipolar disorder as well?<\/p>\n<p>You might think, &#8220;Well, that&#8217;s easy for you to say, you don&#8217;t even have bipolar disorder!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>But don&#8217;t forget a couple things:<\/p>\n<p>1.\tI am, and have been for a long<br \/>\ntime, a supporter of a mother<br \/>\nwith bipolar disorder.<\/p>\n<p>2.\tI volunteer for several bipolar<br \/>\nsupport groups and listen to what<br \/>\nhundreds of people with bipolar<br \/>\ndisorder and their supporters have<br \/>\nto say about things like this (and<br \/>\nother things as well) every month.<\/p>\n<p>3.\tI started and still run the largest<br \/>\nwebsite for bipolar disorder in<br \/>\nthe world.<\/p>\n<p>4.\tI have a HUGE mailing list that<br \/>\nis growing every day!<\/p>\n<p>5.\tI have over 6,000 testimonials.<\/p>\n<p>6.\tOver half the people who work<br \/>\nfor me have bipolar disorder or<br \/>\nsome kind of mental illness.<\/p>\n<p>7.\tI am constantly reading the news<br \/>\nand researching for new information<br \/>\nthat I can pass onto you so that you<br \/>\nhave the most up-to-date information<br \/>\nthere is on bipolar disorder.<\/p>\n<p>I didn&#8217;t say any of those things to brag.<\/p>\n<p>I said them so that you could realize that I know what I&#8217;m talking about.<\/p>\n<p>I understand, from all the people that have talked to me, written to me, emailed me, or somehow have reached out to me, that things are not all that great sometimes for people with bipolar disorder.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes people have bad experiences.<\/p>\n<p>Have you had any bad experiences you want to share?<\/p>\n<p>Post them below.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hi,<\/p>\n<p>How&#8217;s it going?<\/p>\n<p>I wanted to tell you something important.<\/p>\n<p>If you have been on my list for a while, you know that there was a company that did my shipping that almost destroyed this entire organization.<\/p>\n<p>They lied.
